Woodland Trust

The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the UK. It wants to see a UK rich in native woods and trees for people and wildlife. The Trust has three key aims – to protect ancient woodland which is rare, unique and irreplaceable; to restore damaged ancient woodland, bringing precious pieces of our natural history back to life; and to plant native trees and woods with the aim of creating resilient landscapes for people and wildlife. Access to its woods is free so everyone can benefit from woods and trees.

The Mersey Forest

Cheshire and Merseyside

The Mersey Forest is Cheshire and Merseyside's Community Forest, delivering more with trees for the benefit of people, nature and climate. Working with our partners and communities, we act together to grow and care for trees and woods as part of a thriving mosaic of habitats in and around our cities, towns and villages. Our forest plan, More with Trees, builds on decades of work and sets out our vision for the area and the practical steps needed to enrich people's lives and livelihoods, help nature flourish and strengthen climate resilience.
